Curriculum for Lower School Reception - Yr 2

Key Stage 1

Lower School (Years 1 and 2)

Most subjects are taught by the class teacher throughout these years to give children a feeling of security but they are able to have some specialist teachers in Music, Dance, Games and French. All children are timetabled for Information Communication Technology (ICT). Emphasis is placed on reading, language and number work within a varied, stimulating curriculum.

In Year 2 the boys are prepared for their entrance examinations and the girls progress into the senior part of the school, where there is specialist teaching.
